Having a mentor is crucial to your success because whoever you choose to join – is who you are going to learn from.

Here are 5 key points that I want to share with you that will help you finding the right mentor.

1. Find somebody who is very successful in marketing. What can they teach you as far as marketing your business? You have to market your business in order to make money, so find someone who knows not only how to get leads, but who also has an amazing sales generating experience. You really want to work with somebody who knows ins and outs of marketing.

If you are planning to build your business on the internet, marketing is really the baseline. When you are utilizing the internet to build your business, it’s built by very specific, very targeted marketing. The great thing about marketing, is once you understand it, you are dealing with very targeted individuals. You are making your prospects go through a marketing process themselves and qualify themselves. So, it’s actually is a huge leverage component as well.

With the internet and with so many different marketing avenues available to you, you owe it to yourself to find somebody who knows about all these different ways to market on the internet and knows how to find the right people to join your business.

2. Find somebody who really understands this industry. Who knows the hype, and what really works. Because for someone just starting in the industry it’s easy to make a lot of mistakes. There is a lot of things that look like they’re substantial and they’re really not. So, find somebody who has the industry experience that you can benefit from, and who will guide you through all of that and let you know what works and what doesn’t.

3. Who has a track record of helping people. You have to find somebody who will always be there for you. Because the one thing that your mentor absolutely needs to do is be there to help you. So, you have to find someone who has a track record, references and testimonials. These are the best people to work with. They know how to create success and they are going to help you get there.

4. Who has a track record of success. Who has demonstrated that they can earn a lot of money in this industry. Because there is a lot of people who don’t. That’s how you know they are a leader. Leadership skill shows when a mentor will take you by the hand and bring you up to their level, and obviously it’s going to take work and effort but you need someone who has been there before, who demonstrated that they can earn substantial income generated in this industry.

5. You need to feel comfortable with the person you are going to work with. You have to know that your mentor will be there for you and listen to the issues that you are having with your business. You have to feel that they are approachable and that you can talk to them, because at the end of the day if you are not comfortable with them, you are not going to call them. You have to know that they care about you.

98% of the time finding the right mentor is even more important than choosing a right company. Because who you work with and what they can teach you will make you successful. So, take these 5 principles and use them when you want to find a right mentor, and it’s going to help you make the right decision.
